Blanket for Zoey's Friends
Well, I did it!! I finished my first blanket. A while back, Zoey's mom Heather posted about wanting to make these blankets to donate to the Children's Hospital of LA Cancer floor. When she described what kind she was going to do, I thought, "I can do that, there is no sewing involved!!" So I bought some material and stared at it for about a month before finally getting up the guts to make one. I couldn't believe how quickly I was able to finish it. I did it in one day!! I started it while Ella was napping and was able to get it all cut before she woke up. So as soon as I heard her start talking on the monitor, I rushed to get a few of the edges tied together before Ella wanted to "help". As you can see from the pictures below, she definitely "helped" alot. I hope to be able to continue to make some as I think it is a great thing that they are doing in Zoey's honor.

Great Job!! wow I wonder how you make them without sewing. Ella certainly seems to have taken a liking to it, hope she knows its not staying!! Love the way she's helping you....so sweet.
What a beauty!!! You're super. And by the friend, you were tagged!!! Come on over and see for yourself!!
What a nice blanket - how did you make it without sewing it? What a nice idea!
Good for you! That is darling!!
AWESOME blanket! I LOVE the pattern. We call them "magic blankets" at our house. My niece made one for Xander, then Sadie. We told them they were magic and would keep away bad dreams. Then I decided I wanted one and my husband wanted one too, so my niece made them for us too and whenever we're sick or sad we wrap up in them. So it's amazing that you guys are making them for the children. We also got one when Chloe was in the PICU with SERIOUS heart failure from the hospital and it instantly became our very special blanket. So it's an amazing thing that you all are doing. :)
It is beautiful, great job Denise!!
