Rocking and Cruising

I am slowly trying to get back in to a routine as I am sure everyone else is as well. I have been a terrible blogger to start off the New Year but it has been kind of nice to just slow everything down for a bit.
So Ella is really doing well with pulling up on everything in sight. As you can see from the photos above, she has figured out that she can pull up to the Rockband Wii and she was having a lot of fun copying what her sisters do. She has also realized that she can pull up to the kitchen table and reach her hands up to the top of the table. The other night, she managed to pull a plate of food onto the floor. She caught us off guard!!
But yesterday she made big strides in that she actually started cruising along the couch and coffee table. Once she figured it out, she really took off.
On the medical front, her blood levels are still holding as of 2 weeks ago. We will go see her oncologist next week so will do another blood draw then. The good news is that the two small holes in her heart appear to have closed. We did an echocardiogram last week and the cardiologist said everything looked good and we don't have to come back to see him anymore. At least we can cross one specialist off the list. We also had her first OT visit yesterday to work on getting her to eat solid foods. Ella had so much fun there and really didn't want to leave. Right now the OT just wants to get her used to her and touching her face and then we will start trying to introduce some food in the next few weeks.
I hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year.

Happy New Year to all of you!!! Yay Ella! You and Brayden would just have so much fun together right now...he has mastered cruising everywhere as well, so fun to see! So not totally ready for him to be walking yet, but he is on his way!
So happy to hear about her blood counts being stable...she looks great! And YAY! with OT...you will learn a lot from her...food seems like an ongoing issue with all of our little ones...just takes some time and persistence...she will get there before you know it! Great to hear from you! I have been a slacker in the blog world as well, now that the kids are back in school I am hoping to get back into routine...now I am adding gym and dieting to my life, so we are busy BUSY!

Glad your back!!!! great news about the cardiologist! and Ella's cruising! You better nail everything down. Sorry but you made me laugh about her pulling down that plate of food!
And I soooo agree with you that these two are look a likes. You better come East so they can see each other. After all they're soul sisters!!
I'll e-mail you that photo. Actually I was going to change it because I didn't like it too much but I think I'll keep it. Everyone seems to like it.

Way to go Ella! I wish Addy had more confidence, I know she'd be pulling up on her own if she did! It'll happen soon enough though!

Oh I'm so excited to see you again! I don't feel like I really got to see you last time. I was a little preoccupied with a sick baby. Disneyland, here we come.

Oh my goodness! Look at her go! that is amazing! She needs to come visit Grace and teach her how to do some of that stuff. Gracie just started pushing herself up to sitting on Sunday...wahoo! I am glad things are looking good on the medical front. We will keep our fingers crossed that it stays that way!

Yay for Ella!! It is amazing when they pick something up that they just take off - it just takes a long time to pick it up. She will soon love food too - I just know it! It took Carter forever - but he finally got it! And I bet you are so glad to cross cardiologist off the list of doctors - that is absolutely fantastic news!

Too funny about the card you are still looking at - we are actually still looking at yours because we hang ours on the back of our front door - and I haven't taken them down either. We have high hopes of making it to Disneyland this year - so we for sure need to squeeze in a visit. Several people have commented here that Carter is the boy version of Ella - we just need to get them together and see! Our Christmas card picture was actually taken at a place called the Provo Castle (in Provo). Pretty cool - have never been there before but we loved it!
