A Long Overdue Post!!!

Oh my gosh…I can’t even believe how long it has been since I have done a post. My initial excuse was that my kids were on spring break for two weeks and then my husband was off for one of those with an injured back so getting computer time was pretty hard. But now, everyone has been back to their prospective places for over a week and I still haven’t done much. I have been really trying to focus on getting some other things caught up in my life so maybe that is why. Or maybe it is because there just hasn’t been much to write about and no great pictures to post.

Anyway, I did feel badly that I posted those previous videos of Ella hitting some pretty big milestones without writing anything about it but I just knew that if I didn’t post them, it would be a while. Boy am I thankful that I did get those videos because otherwise I don’t think that ANYONE would believe me when I said that she stood up on her own and took a couple of steps. Because….the little stinker will hardly ever do it in front of anyone. I thought for sure she would be working on it constantly and have everything mastered by now. But NO…..NOT ELLA!! She continues to want to do things her way!!! She will still stand up here and there and has gotten pretty stable on her feet for a few seconds and once in a while will attempt to take a step, but she certainly isn’t working on it all the time like I thought she would. Oh well, I know it will happen sooner or later.

Ella has been starting to really get into watching TV lately. She LOVES her Baby Signing Times videos and Sesame Street and Barney. Once in a while she will even sit and watch Golf with daddy and she seems like she is really paying attention. We have recently found a new thing that she loves to watch and I wanted to share it with you all as she is a little more local than nationwide. When my older girls were much younger, we were turned on to Jana Alayra who is a children’s Christian singer and she has a couple of videos out that we bought way back when. Ella LOVES to watch these. She has movements and even incorporates some sign language in to them. Her music is so much fun and she really teaches the kiddos about Jesus in a way that they can relate. Here is the link to her website. I would highly recommend buying her first DVD….I guarantee that you will be right there jumping along with her :) http://www.janaalayra.com/

Here are some pictures of Ella sitting where she SHOULD NOT be sitting while watching her Jana Alayra video and doing some of the motions. I always take advantage of the time she is glued to the TV to get some things done but now I have to wonder if I can leave her alone in a room at all....I think she is going to be my climber!!!

We are still working on getting Ella to eat solid foods. I am not sure if she has mastered it yet.... I will let you be the judge.

Okay, you know I am no help here because I LOVE the pictures on the table!I get such a kick out of her impish Ella antics!

Our girls would have such a blast together ... I swear,Zoey is a TV addict and thanks to Lacey and Ray .... I have officially crossed over from loving Rachel from Signing Times.Just kidding but seriously ... zoey loves those videos.or maybe not "those' because we only have one.hence the aversion to Rachel!

Let's get both of our TV loving, non food eaters together soon.Miss you guys.Lots to catch up on.

Love and kisses from Miss Z.

When my girls were little my BIL would visit a lot and every time they ate with him he would wipe their mouths in between each spoonful of food. I kept telling him to wait until the end but he just couldn't stand to see food on their faces. He would PASS OUT if he saw Ella. That's all I keep seeing - is my BIL flat on the floor. Sooo funny. I love the one with her leg up in the air. Go Ella, Go Ella...

What do you mean she is 'going to be' your climber- looks like she already is! She'd fit right in at my house :)

Sad thing is...that is what Anna looks like when she wakes up in the morning from her runny nose (gross - I know)
Also - thanks for the video tip...those look like great videos!
