The Snake Charmer (not for the weak of heart)

Emma's third grade class has a pet snake named Queenie and on the weekends, the kids are allowed to take turns bringing her home. My husband HATES snakes of any kind but since we let Abbey bring the snake home once the year she was in this class, we figured it was only fair to let Emma do it once. Ironically, all of the girls in this household, myself included, don't mind the snake at all. We weren't sure what Ella would think as this was her first time meeting Queenie. But as usual, there was no fear in this little girl. She was absolutely mesmerized by it. Unfortunately, she doesn't get to spend much time with it as she is way too rough and Emma is worried that she will hurt it (as am I)

I had to have Mike take a look at the pictures... he seems to have the same sentiments as your husband regarding snakes. I on the other hand think it is pretty cool!

OK - it creeps me out!

Ok, Ray just bolted out of the room like the snake was going to jump through the computer screen at him! He would never allow that, he's a pansy when it comes to snakes!

Brave girl! If mattie got a hold of it, I'm sure it would end up in her mouth since that is where everything goes!

Ugh, I couldn't do it. No way. Good that they won't be afraid. I on the other hand would have bad dreams about that thing being in my house for weeks.

Looking at the picture (before I read on)... I was SURE it was a fake snake. We have plenty of those around the house for Brynn... but REAL?! You brave woman you! Go Ella!

I am afraid I also have to agree with your husband on this one - snakes petrify me. You are a great mom for allowing that thing in the house - I am pretty sure we would not sign up to bring the snake home on weekends. Ella is so cute!
