I took Ella in to the see her pediatrician a couple of days ago for her 15 month checkup. She weighed in at a whopping 22 lbs 3 oz which is in the 25th percentile on the regular growth chart and OFF the chart for the Ds growth chart. She is 30 inches long which again is 25th percentile and OFF the chart!! Not bad for a little girl who wants nothing to do with solid foods. I guess that formula is working for her!! We actually have an appt with the OT next Tuesday to FINALLY start working with her (or is it me) on getting foods in her. I admit I have practically stopped trying but know I need to buckle down and do it. It is just so easy NOT to worry about feeding the solid foods.....but alas.....!!! We will be taking a 2 week road trip in a couple of weeks so I am thinking now is not going to be the time to start trying...do you agree??? We are going to do a follow up hearing exam sometime soon. I haven't noticed any noticeable hearing loss but she has not passed a test yet so we need to do one. Time to check the thyroid too so during her next blood draw for the oncologist....we will include this. So...other than the BIG worry of leukemia rearing its ugly head, she is doing awesome!! We will still continue with the monthly blood draws to check her platelets and look for any BAD cells. This translates to every 4 weeks, I have to expect the worst but hope (and pray) for the best.
Ella is PRACTICALLY crawling. She doesn't do it consistently but here is her latest attempt...probably one of the best so far. I am thinking that if I am going to keep posting videos...I really should invest in a video camera. My regular camera just doesn't cut it!!

And off the charts..You go ELLA!!!
Everything sounds great! Keep up the good work.
Whohoo, great job crawling Ella. I just love the cute little laugh at the end.
I'm with Stephanie...Um, yes, she is crawling. No practically to it! Wahoo!! Way to go Ella!!
Oh my goodness I am so proud of her...way to go Ella...she's doing great! And way to be off the charts! :) P is too and I wondered how she got soooo fat on just formula! I'll have to email you a funny story about her eating solids. We have worked with the OT once...I'll email you later today bout it, it's too long to put on here! Love you guys!!!
Way to go Ella with crawling!! That's just great!
I will keep you in my prayers as you check Ella's blood once again. It must be so hard to go through that every month.
Good luck introducing solids in a few weeks!
Good girl Ella! You need to teach Justin some tricks Monday. He's slowing down in the crawling department! And dang girl... off the charts! That's awesome! We're still trying to see if there's a place for him ON the charts! We'll see how his 15 month appointment goes the first of August! Can't wait to meet you guys!
Thats perfect crawling. I agree with not starting foods until after your trip. Are you still stopping here? Give that girl a smooch from me and Jax.
Yay Ella! I am with everyone...she is crawling and is doing so great! Way to go! Brayden still LOVES his formula too and it is just so easy to give...the solids will come with time! Don't feel pressured with it! I only still give solids of breakfast and dinner and occasionally lunch! Lunch is always the one that I seem I am always on the go! Bad excuse, but he does love his baba! He will eat solids for me, but NO self feeding...we have been trying to work on this for quite some time! Anyway, I'm sure we will have so much to talk about tomorrow! See you soon! Drive safely!
That girl is crawling!! Way to go Ella!! Hope all the follow up appointments go well!
Ok,Miss Zoey... 22 lbs and almost 2 1/2!!Ella you are something else. And crawl indeed!!Email me.I am in La Jolla till Friday. What do you think??
I agree she is crawling - way to go!! We are still struggling with this whole feeding issue - probably like you are. Carter is really good at the bottle and solid food for him is just so hard. We have been working with a speech therapist - but boy does it take a lot of patience and time. I only feed him real food at breakfast and dinner - it is way too time consuming to do it three times a day. I would wait until after your vacation as well - she is obviously doing really well on formula. Are you going to be able to stop by on your road trip? We are hoping that we can meet cute Ella in person!!
I'd say she IS crawling! Addy won't do a darn thing the little stink! She gets up like that and rocks and goes about two steps then stops! Way to go Ella!
Way to go, Ella!! You had better start babyproofing!
Glad to hear her check-up went well, and good luck with the feeding. Let us know how it is going.
