Where's Your Head???

So why is it that kids will do things all the time for you but as soon as you put a camera in front of them, they make you work for it? Ella has just recently started doing a few things on command such as hands to head and hands to nose, and waving "bye-bye". She does it regularly now so I thought I would get it on video.....boy did she make me work for it!!! At the very end of the first video you will see how close she is to crawling!!! Sorry once again for the poor quality and the fact that you have to listen to me say "where's your head" about a million times.

Way to go Ella! She is doing so great! I can tell that she is super close to crawling. I was so excited when Joel started crawling. He was a lot less frustrated!

OH MY GOSH. Ella is precious!!!!!! I know what you mean about the camera--Dakin does the same thing.

It's nice to meet you! We are actually in Longview area, but our night nurse lives in Tyler and I will ask her tonight about a good place to stay. I am ashamed to say I have only been to Tyler three times...lololol

Talk to you soon!

Wow! She is one little smart cookie! She is doing great! I haven't even starting working on body parts! Ok, we have some work to do! You are going to have to share all you do with her! Great captures on the camera!

Yes, Ella could easily ride in the car like Sam has. I see her pictures and videos and she is stronger then Sam so she could easily do it. I was worried at first as well as a child without DS had one but Sam does great!

I count that as crawling if you ask me!!!! She moved! Maybe not across the room, but I'd call that crawling!

I LOVE all the videos you have posted! Way to go Ella...you are so close to crawling! I think I really like the videos because they remind me so much of Gracie. She can't quite move like that but the facial expressions, the waving of the arms, shaking of the leg, hand in the mouth...I feel like I am watching Grace. So fun!

Oh wow - she is so smart. Carter has not tried anything like that - we are working on waving bye-bye but it hasn't happened yet.

We took Carter in for a sleep study because his cardiologist won't take him off oxygen at night until he could see what his levels were doing. We suspected sleep apnea because of the oxygen requirement and because we have heard him snore (not loud). We had been told with his surgeries that the anesthesiologist uses the smallest intubation tube and he still has a problem getting it down his throat. With all of these signs we thought it best that we have him checked. Hopefully this will help open his airway and he can get a more peaceful nights sleep. It sounds like Ella does pretty good at night and if you haven't heard her snore that is probably a good sign. It is so hard to know what we should be watching for with these cute kids. That is one of the reasons I love the blogging world so we can bounce ideas off each other and help others through situations we have been in and learned from.

I hope you can arrange to come out here this summer - we would love to meet Ella in person!
