Feeling Better.....I Think!!!

When I walked back into Ella's room after being at home for a few days, I got a really nice welcome. She seemed happy to see me and was definitely much more lively today. We went on a nice long walk and visited friends that she hadn't seen in days. People actually noticed that Ella hadn't been out and about for a few days as she is usually out ALL the time!! So, even though her energy was back, our first attempt with a bottle was unsuccessful!! If she doesn't take one tonight or in the morning, they will be attempting to put a tube down her nose (NG tube). I can GUARANTEE that the tube won't last a minute so the girl had better get busy with some eating.

Now, on to my other concern. This rash on the back of her head. I don't know if these pictures do it justice but it is quite red and quite large!!! The Dr. doesn't seem to know for sure what it is for sure because normally this "chemo rash" is found on the hands and feet. But as numerous people have said today, they stopped trying to figure things out with oncology kids a long time ago....everyone is sooooo different.

We had a quick visit today from Emily and her mom Sara. Ella was totally fine until Emily got to laughing so hard that she was kind of screaming.....and Ella doesn't like screaming kids as shown in the picture below. But other than that, we had a very enjoyable visit with them. Thanks guys for making our day go by a little bit faster :)

I'm so happy to hear she is feeling a little better. I hope things go up hill from here. That rash does look rather red, hope it isn't bothering Ella too much, does she scratch it thus making it redder? I just hope it subsides soon and it's of no real concern. Praying that Ella gets through this with no more discomfort, it's just horrible that she has to go through any of this in the first place. I will be keeping Ella in my prayers and sending loads of positive healing energy. Can't wait till this whole things is over. Many many hugs )

Thank goodness she's feeling at least a little better! Thinking happy, positive thoughts that she drinks her bottle today and doesn't need the ng tube. Good luck Ella and keep getting stronger!

So glad to see her smiling again...now she just has to eat! That rash is pretty red, it looks like it really itches too, I hope it doesn't though.

Glad to see that smiling face again. Hopefully being hungry will come next.
As far as the rash, I realize kids and adults are different and I am not sure if the drugs are but we see the classic ara-c rash on adults during induction or consolidation in all sorts of different places. Never itches or seems to bother them. Just looks like it does. Hopefully that is all it is.
Drink a bottle for everyone Ella!
