Poor Ella!!!

Can you see it in her face? I think round 5 has finally gotten the best of my little Angel. This picture was taken on friday when we went down to the lobby for the hosptial Halloween party. She seemed okay then but shortly after this we were up in our room and a friend stopped by with her newborn baby. Whenever the baby would let out a little cry, Ella would bury her head in her arm. This isn't that unusual for her as she hates it when other kids cry or scream. But the next thing we knew, she had fallen asleep with her face buried. At the time I was quite amazed as she NEVER just falls asleep if there is anything going on. In fact, she rarely takes a nap at the hospital because someone is sitting in the room with her. But from that point on, she just slept or lay in her bed watching her videos. She wanted nothing to do with drinking her bottle and hasn't wanted a bottle since (this is Monday). The doctors and nurses don't seem the least bit worried as I guess this is pretty much the norm with most kids while they are getting chemo. We just aren't used to it. She is getting IV fluid so I guess they aren't worried about dehydration.

Today, she also had sort of an itchy rash on the back of her head. I guess it can show up with the chemo as well and they are just keeping an eye on it. They gave her some Benadryl to help with the itching. Her spirits have been pretty good and her energy levels aren't bad either but she still doesn't want to eat. She will (finally) be done with her chemo on Wed. at 5pm so I really hope that she will start to feel better by then. I know we have been so fortunate with just cruising through the chemo in the other rounds and this really isn't very bad but she just isn't the Ella that we are used to :(

No, no, no! I don't like to hear this. Not one little bit. Poor punkin deserves to drag a bit, but we're hoping her trademark spunk returns soon.

Sweet, sweet, biscuit.

Ugh, I hate hearing that Miss Ella is having a tough time this round. Your right, I think we have all been so used to her skipping her way thru all of this, what a bummer that she is having a harder time than usual!
She is still the cutest witchy pooh ever!
