Quick Update

Okay...I heard back from the doctor. The good news is that there were no leukemia blasts in her blood and her platelets are actually up to 180,000. The really bad news is that her hemoglobin is at 3.5 (11 is minimum for normal). So he wants us to go in to Children's Hospital ER and have her admitted where they will do a RBC transfusion most likely and then observe her for a day or two. Her thinks some kind of virus has caused her body to basically eat her hemoglobin. Please keep her in your prayers that it will be easily resolved.

Praying for Ella!!!
As for donating to RR, I read somewhere that they prefer you send a check so they can avoid the paypal fees. I just got assigned my prayer warrior designated child (I'm not allowed to publicly post any info due to some stupid law - but it's Sasha - age 5 - in the Ukraine - he's on the tree), so I'm sending a check :)

Praying that everything is back to normal really fast and Ella is back to being herself. Great news on the blasts, I was really worrying about that. But it just shows how important it is to be observant about our kids, that the fact Ella was quiet and not her usual self could mean something like low hemoglobin, I have learnt something new, it would never have crossed my mind. Once again shows how great our DS community is.
Hugs and a big kiss to Ella. Tell her we want her smiling again :)

Oh I am so sorry for this bump in the road for Ella. We of course will add our prayers to all the others that a little blood will make her feel good as new. Your worried picture is so cute. Wish we could give that sweet girl a hug - give her one for us!

Wow, 3.5, that is super low, what a trooper for tolerating that.
Glad to hear about the platelets though and that there were no blasts.
Hopefully just a virus and she is feeling better. She will haev to feel better after getting some blood :)
Way to be observant and checking it out she is lucky to have a Mommy like you.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
