Guess Who Is Home...........

I am......hahahaha!! (sorry for the horrible pic...it is my quick attempt at a joke)

Okay....well maybe this little one joined me as well :)

Yes, Ella got to come home today, just in time for the Labor Day Weekend. This round was so different than the first two. Normally by this time into the round, Ella's counts would be sitting at zero. Well a couple of days ago, we noticed that everything was starting to go up and it had never gone down to zero. In fact the lowest her ANC went was 490. Whatever the reason, the doctor said that due to the fact that her platelets were making big jumps the last few days and that her ANC is up to 544, her bone marrow is definitely recovering. I have no idea if she will get back to 1000 faster than usual or if her complete recovery will still take the standard 3 weeks, but I do know that we are just that much closer to getting to the end. Her timing couldn't have been any better since the big sisters are home for 3 days and now we can all just be home together.

Here are a few pics from the last day or two at the hospital....just having fun.

When we take our walks around the 3rd floor hallways, these animals are painted on the wall outside the OICU and Ella loves to stop and talk to them and then she ALWAYS walks away waving good bye and blowing kisses.

Here she is making her "ROAR" face

And this one is her "GRRR" face

This hat was sent to us from my husband's cousin. A friend of hers made a few of them for us to give to some of the girls on our floor which Abbey and Emma handed out last night. They had fun doing it. These pics are our attempt at getting a cute picture of Ella in it. But as usual, she doesn't cooperate much when trying to get a picture of her in a hat.

How awesome that you are home already! And just in time for the other girls to be home 3 days - perfection! :) It is great to know that she is just *this much* closer to the end of treatments, isn't it. I hope you all have a great weekend.

I love the photos of the hat - she surely didn't want it on, did she!

So glad you are home!!!!! Love the crazy hat. :-)
We just found out that a 15 month old in our Weber/Morgan Chapter has Leukemia. Any suggestions on what I can do to help this family. I am the Pres of the Weber/Morgan chapter of the DS foundation and need to call the family but am nervous as what to say. Any thoughts?

I adore those pictures, all those faces, she knows how to crack us all up! And that hat, gosh is she cute, o.k. we get it that she isn't very happy in it but I'm glad you managed to get a pic of her while she still had it it, she looks positively adorable, not too happy but adorable!!! I am so so happy to see her home, really thrilled. I hope this means that everything is going better than expected? What a little warrior, smiled all the way through...way to go sweet Ella. We all love you very much. Hugs hugs hugs

Love the 'ROAR' face, Love the 'Grrr' face, but mostly I would just love to kiss sweet Ella's face!
I am so pleased you guys are nearing the end and she has braved so well, goodness, I am not sure I have seen a photo yet where she really looks sick.
HUGS and more HUGS!
P.S. Denise, if we did live in the same town, we would most certainly run into each other when we were shopping for P and Ella, I think I have seen about a dozen outfits on Ella where P has the exact same one...LOL!
